This past month, you made a lot of great things possible in the lives of children. Thank you!
We believe that children who have survived injustice can be the best people to defeat the causes of what they suffered. So we help them do that.
Last month, Vincent and his five siblings arrived at our Bolivian partner organization, Alalay. After being abandoned by their mother, Bolivian Social Services stepped in to help—but no shelter was willing to take all six children together, and they were about to be separated. That’s when they called Claudia, our partner lead in Bolivia. Her response was immediate: “What are you waiting for? Bring them right away.”

Last month, the children at our Guatemalan partner, EDELAC, got to go to Jolom Noj camp! They loved playing outside, exploring nature, and learning the importance of respecting the environment. It was a great opportunity for these kids to improve their social skills by working on collaborative projects. Thank you for making this possible.
We’re so excited for Jamamashu, aka Professor J, who started paramedics school at KMTC-Port Reitz in Kenya. After graduation, he plans to return to Ganze, where access to emergency medical care is virtually nonexistent. His dream is to save lives and help build a safer, healthier future for his community. Congratulations Professor J. You can reed his full story here: Professor J - From Danger to Doctor
Meet Lin Schussler-Williams from Louisville, Kentucky. She is a member of The Rising. “When I think about the impact of education for these children, of survivors helping create more survivors, and I think about just $20 a month, it feels like the least I can do. I am honored to be a part of The Rising.” Thank you, Lin, for your support!
Our Live from The Field calls are short (25-minute) Zoom calls with one of our partner teams around the world designed to connect you more closely with the good you are doing. In July, we are heading to Malawi, where you will see where children live after they are rescued from abusive homes and poverty. You will have a chance to meet some of the children and the staff, and to ask questions about the work you are supporting in Malawi: RSVP here
