We believe that children who have survived injustice can be the best people to defeat the causes of what they suffered. So we help them do that. |

Earlier this month, twenty-five children were rescued from slavery on Lake Volta in Ghana: 18 boys and 7 girls, ranging in age from 6 to 14. All of the children have safely settled into the Recovery Center, where they're getting the medical care they need, starting school, and receiving daily counseling to process trauma and PTSD.
Thanks to you, our partner Challenging Heights has rescued 144 children from trafficking and slavery in Ghana since January of this year. Thank you for being part of bringing these kids to freedom.

The EDELAC school you support in Guatemala isn't your typical school. Children there have music, recess, chess, art, and even a robotics club. It's so well-regarded that this June, 18 school principals and 2 government education supervisors toured EDELAC to see how they do it!
Part of that magic is marimba. Your support means children learn this instrument, a big part of Guatemalan and Mayan heritage, and get to perform at events around the city. Watch some of our 5th graders show off their skills!

Wanjiru*, one of the students you help support in Kenya, is headed to the University of Nairobi to study medicine and surgery, one of the most competitive programs in the country. She just graduated high school as one of the top students in her county, aced her university entrance exams, and now she's chasing the dream: becoming a doctor so she can bring healthcare back to her home community.
Wanjiru is one of 46 students you're helping send off to university this year. Thank you for making education accessible to students around the world!
