This past month you made a lot of great things possible in the lives of children. The Gazette is to keep you in the know on all things Many Hopes - things you make possible! Thank you!

We believe that children who have survived injustice can be the best people to defeat the causes of what they suffered. So we help them do that.

A Place to Call Home in Malawi

In December of 2024, Natasha (16) and her son Blessings (4 months) arrived to our Malawi partner, Pothawira. Natasha became pregnant after she was assulted in a refugee camp. After delivering Blessings, she no longer felt safe living in the camp, so she ran away one night. A woman who was familiar with Pothawira picked up Natasha on the side of the road and brought her in. Natasha and Blessings both got the medical treatment they needed and Pothawira became home. Natasha is enrolled in school and counseling programs. Thank you for giving Natasha and Blessings a place to feel safe.*Photo at the top has been changed to protect identity.

Heading Back to School in Kenya

In Kenya, students returned to the classrooms after the January break, and it's all thanks to you! With your support, our Kenyan partner (Friends for Justice) welcomed 21 new students into their program, giving them the opportunity to resume their education after years of absence. Mary (furthest left) wants to persue nursing after she finishes with high school so she can help keep people in her community healthy and safe.

Round of applause for Consuelo who is ready to bring her passion to the kitchen after completing her degree in Restaurant Management and Gastronomy in Bolivia. With multiple job offers in hand, Consuelo has secured her 'dream job' at a prestigious restaurant in the heart of La Paz. Bravo!

Meet Levi, a pint-sized philanthropist from New York. Inspired by his parents' stories about Many Hopes and the children in Africa and South America, Levi has chosen to donate his allowance and the earnings from his "Poconos Firewood Business." Levi's heartfelt declaration, "I don't need money, I want to give it to those children in Africa," speaks volumes about his generous spirit. Thank you Levi for your commitment to making a difference!
